“We’re excited to be partnering with Chad and 87Eleven Entertainment, to bring their vision of Jin’s story to the big screen,” Asad Qizilbash, head of PlayStation Productions, said of the project. “We love working with creative partners like Chad, who have a passion for our games, ensuring we can create rich adaptations that will excite our fans and new audiences.”
Ghost of Tsushima became the fastest-selling original IP in PlayStation history when it launched in July 2020, selling 2.4 million copies in the first month. To date it has reached 6.5 million in sales and, according to Fox, “roughly half” of those players reached the end of the game.
"Can you believe that?” Fox said. “That’s around 3.25 million times the digital Mongols have been kicked out of digital Tsushima.”
